Financial Aid and FAFSA
FAFSA, or Free Application for Student Aid, is a form which is filled out by students desiring to have the government help them pay for higher education. It is a form which the student fills out annually in the United States to determine how much money the government believes they are eligible to receive. Money given through FAFSA is on a need-based status.

Scholarships can be merit-based, which are awarded based on academic, artistic, athletic, or other abilities. Scholarships can be need-based; meaning the amount of money given is decided by need. Scholarships can also be career or student-specific.
